Overview

The Project Manager / Field Engineer (PM) is responsible for onsite project management and coordination between StormTrap’s customer and the precast manufacturer. The PM will report directly to a Senior Project Manager and work closely with Territory Managers (sales engineers) from shortly after purchase order execution to ensure customer satisfaction through to the end of the installation. PM is also responsible for the overall strategic allocation and management of StormTrap forming assets as well as the cultivation and maintenance of precast manufacturer relationships. The PM and TM will collectively work together, employing the company sales/ops process, to provide our stake holders the best solution in the industry (civil engineers, developers, municipalities and site work/utility contractors).

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage Existing Manufacturer Relationships; activities include:
    • Pricing and Production Negotiations
    • Audits of Steel Forms and Precast Products
    • Coordination of Production and Delivery
    • Ensure Production lead times are consistent with sales commitments
    • Introduction, presentation and promotion of all current and new products
  • Coordinate and oversee all logistics associated with the installation process including;
    • Onsite pre-construction meetings
    • Product delivery logistics
    • Onsite assistance
    • Overall jobsite support
    • Dealing with any onsite logistical or product issues with coordination from the Engineering Department
  • Forge strong relationships with a new and existing customer base from both a precast manufacturer and construction installation level.
  • Maintain precast manual and installation manual as an internal control document.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • You must possess excellent communication, time management and organizational skills, a high level of self-motivation, creativity in overcoming problems and objections, strong technical aptitude and negotiating skills.

 

  • You are a self-starter, accountable, driven, ethical, hard-working, personable, rejection proof, and work well independently and with others from a home office.

 

  • Experience with Project Management and ability to read civil engineering drawings and drafting plans a plus.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related.

 

  • Minimum two years’ experience in the construction industry, preferably underground utilities sitework or stormwater related.

 

  • Knowledge of construction methods and ability to read construction drawings.

 

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar Project Management/CRM Software.

 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / Office 365 and other standard office software.

 

  • Valid Driver’s License, Current Insurance and a good driving record.

 

  • A complete background check including professional references.

 

Work Environment

While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee can be exposed to a variety of weather and work conditions at constructions job sites. The noise level in these environments and job sites can be loud.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; lift; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

 

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position which will involve 40+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies.

 

Travel

Ability to Travel 75% +

Frequent travel is outside the local area and overnight. Existing markets include Southern CA, WA, & CO.

Adjacent markets are but not limited to Northern CA, AZ, NM, UT, NV, OR, ID, MT, & WY.
