Overview
StormTrap is seeking a passionate, organized, and dedicated engineering professional to
join our team. The Entry Level Structural Engineer is responsible for professionally
representing the company and assisting in product design and coordination with others.
The ideal engineer would have some experience in retaining wall design, foundation
design, concrete mix, rebar placement and soil mechanics.
Responsibilities
- Design reinforced precast concrete formed products
- Analyze and design reinforced concrete slabs, walls, and foundation pads using Excel,
Risa, and hand calculations
- Prepare calculations and markup structural rebar drawings for reinforcing
- Coordinate with drafting, design, sales, and operation teams to provide engineering
solutions

- Possess strong technical background in structural analysis and design of
concrete structures

calculations

- Ability to attend job site visits and perform inspections in confined space
- Personable, ethical, and positive attitude in any customer or team interactions
- Familiarity with rebar reinforcing for precast concrete and should be able to read
and understand rebar shop drawings, grading plans and civil drawings
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably B.E. Civil with focus on Structural
Engineering
- Recent graduate or 1 to 2 years of experience with emphasis in reinforced concrete
design and ability to design precast concrete structures
- Familiarity with ACI 318, ASCE 7-10 Standards and PCI Handbook
- Working knowledge of Risa, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and
AutoCAD
- Willingness to travel occasionally to in state and out of state job sites
- Local candidate highly preferred, initially on-site position with option of hybrid
based on performance
