Liberty at Mill Creek

Project Details

Two 1.1 million square-foot warehouses were being constructed at Liberty at Mill Creek in Allentown, PA on a property that had previously been a farm. The StormTrap system was installed to manage stormwater and collect runoff for irrigation purposes

Challenge

The main challenge of the project was to reduce the stormwater runoff caused by a substantial increase of impervious surfaces.

Solution

The StormTrap system reduced the runoff volume to below pre-development levels. The rainwater is retained and utilized for irrigation in lawn/meadow areas.

Chris Williams, P.E., LEED AP, Project Manager, chose to use the StormTrap system because of the benefits offered: “ease of installation, tolerances for fill above system, and high void percentage.”

About the overall experience of working with StormTrap, Williams stated that it was excellent: “Can’t beat the customer service. StormTrap provided all the construction details, calculations and cost estimates in a timely manner.”

The StormTrap system was selected because of the “ease of installation, tolerances for fill above system, and high void percentage.”
