Belmont Skating Rink is a 40,300-square-foot Skating Rink and Athletic Facility in Belmont, MA, intended for use by local schools and the community. To address the site’s drainage requirements, a stormwater detention system was necessary. With limited underground space available, Samiotes Consultants partnered with StormTrap to provide a 5′-0″ SingleTrap system, engineered to store 10,405 cubic feet of stormwater. The watertight system was installed on a concrete pad beneath a lawn area and was completed in just one day—minimizing disruption to the overall construction schedule.
