An underground stormwater treatment device was installed at a research and development laboratory in Morris, Illinois, to support effective stormwater management.

Challenge

The parking lot drainage system discharged to an existing shallow pond, creating site constraints that limited modifications to the stormwater infrastructure.

Solution

The SurgeSettler was selected to capture sediment from stormwater runoff before discharge to the existing pond. Its high pipe entry allowed the existing pond to remain in operation without modification. The project successfully enhanced stormwater treatment while preserving the existing pond and minimizing site disruption.
