See photos of a sand filter system installed under the parking lot/drive aisle of a new apartment complex on South Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas. This basin provides stormwater storage and treatment for the site, meeting the City’s requirements as detailed in their Environmental Criteria Manual. It was built with two main sections, a long 8’-4” tall DoubleTrap sedimentation area and a 10’-4” filtration area. The system was also designed to support fire truck outrigger loads with minimal cover.
